Poznan Project

Good for Western Poland.  Use the advanced search feature.

Jri-Poland

Good for Jewish searches and for Galicia and Southern Poland.  Registration for a user ID/password is required.

Geni.com

Good for Slovak and Eastern European countries.

FamilySearch Catalog

Enter the name of the village, city or church.  Some information is online and some is only available via microfilm.

Polish Genealogical Society of America

This site has a searchable database of births, marriages, deaths as well as directories of some Chicago Catholic parishes and schools.  It contains a marriage index for Polish parishes in Chicago through 1915 and a complete index of obituaries published from 1890-1971 in the Dziennik Chicagoski, a daily newspaper published in Chicago in Polish.  Copies of death notices can be ordered from PGSA for $8 each.
